We have been taking some much needed down time after the spring show at The Compound in Round Top. We had an incredible time this year and got to spend some time in one of our favorite places with some of our favorite people!
First things first is set up, which always ends up being a little bit overwhelming. We pack up our truck in Connecticut with all of the gorgeous pieces we want to share with our Texas crew, about a week later it all shows up wrapped carefully and we have to pull it all together. It tends to be a stressful few days but then we always are sure to wind down and have some fun! The Compound hosts a lovely dealers dinner and we always have a good time with the full crew back together for the kick off event!
There is so much to see around Round Top and both Margaret and I try to sneak of campus once or twice to catch a glimpse at the depth to which the magic of Round Top goes!! Margaret made her way to the Arbors for some incredible bedding from Pandora Debalthazar. I opted for a big bag of vintage clothes, all currently at the dry cleaner!! We love Round Top because it truly has something for everyone, and it brings the antique community together for a long period of time which allows for all of us to collaborate and bond over our career, one that typically gets a little isolating!
If you missed our behind the scenes looks from the show, head on over to our Instagram Highlights for some silly bloopers and a lot of intel about our fabulous antiques.
Stay tuned tomorrow for a post about the Antiques Mentoring Program we participated in with The Antiques Diva right after the Round Top show.
