White & Gold Toggle Footed Serving Bowl or Platter, Handley Drive, Portugal 2016
A striking 2016 ceramic pedestal platter by Handley Drive, made in Portugal. The piece features a broad, shallow circular form elevated on a substantial cylindrical foot, giving it a wonderfully sculptural presence. Finished in a soft matte white, the platter is accented around the outer rim with repeating rectangular details highlighted in warm gold. Both the gold decoration and the surface of the platter have a subtle textural quality, adding depth and visual interest to the otherwise restrained design. The clean architectural silhouette and graphic gold accents give the piece a sophisticated modern sensibility. Beautiful displayed on its own, it would also make an elegant centerpiece, serving platter, or decorative stand. Wear consistent with age and use. 15.5" dia x 7"h
