A rare French Military Academy Officer's hat or cap from the 1970s. These special and unique hats are part of the uniform of students studying to become officers in the French Military. This is a highly unusual and heavily ornamental cap making it sought after by collectors. This cap features a black leather brim on black felt. The top is blue felt with a silver braid in the shape of a cross and silver braid around the frame. The hat also features alternating gold and silver bands with a silver band across the brim finished with silver studs. The final touch is a gold embroidered emblem on the front. 6.25"w x 10"d x 4.25"h. Wear consistent with age and use.
