The Season Of New Beginnings

The Season Of New Beginnings

Posted by Frances Bell on

Hi Hi!

Welcome to our March Newsletter!

March is here and with it brings a season of change! The biggest change at Modern Antiquarian is that we are finally returning to Round Top, Texas. We are ecstatic to say we will be back at the Peck Barn at The Compound in booth 12. Don't worry, we'll still be next to our Antiques BFFs Randy & Bernie of Antiques of Dallas. Our theme for this Spring show is Bring the Outdoors In. You can expect to see lots of gorgeous garden inspired items like stone-topped chests of drawers, outdoor dining, and oodles of garden decor that work both inside and outside. Stop by our space and we'll tell you why the biggest trend in interiors is using gardenalia inside the home.

Modern Antiquarian is going live at 5

Lori Smithers, the owner of Fickle International

Thursday 03/17/2022

Join us for Live at 5 with Lori Smithers, the owner of Fickle International who's story began, as many Round Top success stories do, with her mother.
“When I was young, I would go with my mother to antique stores and rummage for treasures,” Smithers remembers. “As a young adult I would go to Warrenton and roam the fields for days and days. I just fell in love and always fantasized about being a part of it.”

Smithers took the first step toward making her dream a reality when she became a vendor at the Texas Rose Show about 14 years ago.

“(That first show) was amazing!” Smithers says. “I just loved getting to be friends with the other vendors and customers. Being part of the Round Top community has changed my life forever. That show holds a special place in my heart.”
