It's Christmas Time!

Hello! Happy Christmas!

If you were a fan of The Summer House you are likely aware of how much Margaret loves Christmas! While we are so happy to be more remote with our business, allowing for lots of travel and adventures for us to share with you on our social media. One thing we majorly missed was decorating the store for Christmas. We found a few ways to fill that void… Margaret decked her halls with her amazing collection of vintage Christmas decor at the beginning of November. Check it out below!

We also had the pleasure of participating in an awesome Christmas party at The Antique and Artisan Gallery last week. We decorated the booth with many boughs of holly and dressed up for the occasion! It was such a fun event hosted by Mari Ann Maher and Bruce Wylie, they invited Thomas O’Brien to sign his new book Library House. Along with this exciting meet and greet, John Robshaw Textiles had a decked out booth and Carlos Moto had a great collection of goods that he found around the globe! These three powerhouses have their displays up through the end of the month, so if you were unable to attend the party you must swing by 69 Jefferson Street to check out all of the amazing inventory.

 

 

 

While these Christmas shenanigans have definitely brought the spirit of the holiday towards us… we realized this fall that we needed a little something more! That something is the incredible Advent Calendar that our team at Nurenu helped us develop. How incredible has this piece come out!?

Today is December 11th so you have seen 11 reveals so far, we really hope you like it! We worked really hard with the team to create a winter wonderland scene as the backdrop for the calendar. The Hotel you see in this image is th Hotel Mollberg we always stay in when shopping in Sweden . It’s such a beautiful place to stay and represents the heart of our collection. Behind the windows and doors of this magical hotel lie twenty-five of our favorite pieces in our collection at this time. We crafted a great list that represents the different price points we offer and a variety of ways to incorporate beautiful, strong antique pieces into your holiday!
